Having played on many sessions and contributing to many artists, producers Mohd Ritman (guitarist) and Steve Evans (keyboardist) decided to gather a group of the finest session musicians and form a band. The lineup has been made over the years with lead singer Cathy Suello until they brought in drummer Stan Calvin and bassist Ricardo Ranito to join in the band and they agreed that they had some kinda special grooves rooted in soulful spirit and energy. Siel is composed of four different nationalities: Malaysia, Philippine, Indonesia and Portugal and they bring a vibrant stage presence along with them!

While soulful best describes her, this bubbly lass comes with a lethal combination of the 5Ps – power, passion, pizzazz, personality and panache. After landing the role-of-a-lifetime with Effie White in the Asian production of Dreamgirls at the Malaysian National Theatre in 2011, Elvira was under the impression that life couldn’t get any better – boy was she mistaken, because THE Hitman, producer-composer David Foster, hand-picked her for his F1 Sapura Kenchara 2014 Gala Night to sing along side American Idol winner Ruben Studdard (with whom she was blessed to DUET with!) and grammy winner Eric Benét too! Other accolades include headlining at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013, being since featured at many of the MPO extravaganzas, being blessed to sing for an array of local and visiting dignitaries, to name a few. Comfortable sharing the stage with living legends such as David Foster (Hitman extraordinaire), John ‘J.R.’ Robinson (most recorded drummer in history!), Maurice ‘Mo’ Pleasure (of Earth, Wind and Fire fame!), locals Lewis
Pragasam (of AsiaBeat fame), Andy Peterson (most prolific Asian touring bassist!), and Rik Omar (drummer for the late great legend Sudirman) to name a few, she has also been featured on a host of award-winning radio
and television commercials, and regional advertising campaigns.
