"My heart is full of joy when I sing!"
Being announced the Champion of ASTRO Talent Quest (ATQ) in 2000, Malaysia's premiere singing contest, Winnie Ho proceeded to securing the 3rd runner-up in the World Chinese Singing Contest the same year as Malaysia's representative. Despite being heralded as one of the best-selling Malaysian artiste in recent years, Winnie has maintained a low-profile in her music career.
Following the series of successful concerts, Winnie released her solo album "The Jazzy Sound of Teresa Teng" in 2012. Within the first week of its release, the album raked in hit sales and proceeded to receive high praise from Hong Kong's premier audiophile magazines "Audiophile" and "Hi-Fi Review"; the album was featured as "CD of the Month" in both magazines.
Winnie’s outstanding performance gave her the opportunity to be the very first Chinese singer representing Malaysia to perform in Jazz Festivals and Hi-fi showcase across Asia, including Taiwan, China, Macau and Singapore. On the home front, Winnie was also identified as “The Best Chinese Jazz Songstress in Malaysia” by the local media.
In early 2015, Winnie’s “Jazzy Sound of Teresa Teng” album was cut into a vinyl record (gramophone record). This is the 1st vinyl record in Malaysia since 1970.
